At Home Energy Services we conduct comprehensive home energy audits to identify areas where your home's energy efficiency and comfort can be improved.
How it all started
Home Energy Service was started in January of 2022 with the goal of becoming the leading expert construction and consulting company in residential building science. The idea for the business came about while I was house-sitting for a family friend during the holidays of 2021.
A Burst Pipe and an Epiphany
On New Year’s Day 2022, while I sat at the kitchen table, a water pipe burst 10’ off of the nearest wall. During the clean-up, I inspected the cavity containing the pipe and could see that the exterior wall closest to the pipe didn’t have proper insulation leading to the freezing pipe. That moment was the first step down a path to be the go-to expert on building performance.
The Residential vs. Commercial Disparity
Codes and strict inspections required commercial buildings to be built to such a high standard, and that is not replicated in the residential market. It made me angry that so much consideration is forced into the buildings we work in, but not into the buildings we spend the other 16 hours of the day where we raise our families.

Our Team
Connor McPartlin
Founder & President
I grew up in Arlington Texas playing hockey and hanging with my friends mostly. I went to the University of North Texas where I completed my bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering. My first job out of college was drafting blueprints under Connor’s Contracting for residential builders. I eventually partnered up with a builder, Armstrong Master Builders, where I managed the design and construction of single family homes. In June of 2019, I joined TLC Engineering Solutions, a Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Consulting Firm, where I designed MEP systems for commercial construction. Late in 2022, I decided to leave my role at TLC to pursue a dream of building a business of my own. I started Home Energy Services in January of 2023 to fulfill that passion.
